to one of the best friends i've ever had:

it's been a year since you left us. sometime in the night, between today and tomorrow, your breath stopped. that day changed the course of my life, and the lives of everyone who loved you. i can still hear your voice on my telephone. i havent deleted any of your phone numbers in my phone. that day i collapsed onto the floor, and let loose the most gut-wrenching scream i think i've ever done. you cross my mind a lot these days, not only because of the time of year, but also because i miss you so very much. you were the only person who could ever make me feel better about pathetic things in my life. you were my constant supporter. you always told me that someday, everything will get better. i found courage through you that i never thought i had. if it wasnt for the support you gave me, i'd probably still be in that very destructive relationship. i wish that i could hug you one more time, and tell you how much you meant to me, how much you changed my life. i miss you more every day, but i know that your memory keeps on living through the stories we tell and the memories we all share. i hope you know that i love you very much and always will, big brother.
